Megan Gray Arts Studio Notes

  I started painting mini original oil paintings many years ago while my family and I lived in an a small RV. I had a small little cart with a table top easel that gave me the ability to paint in such a small space. Mini canvases allowed me to paint even more easily. They were easy to store while drying, and easy to make multiples of at one time without worrying where I was going to keep them. Because I was living in a small space I also thought people living this way deserve access to original art too. Not everyone has room for large original art.  Some other reasons I enjoy painting minis are: Being a mom, my time tends to be limited in the studio. So if I can get a smaller painting done, I feel more accomplished.  Minis are more accessible. I myself do not have a large budget for collecting art (I'm feeding teenagers. 😆) and I love painting art that can reach more people.  You don't have to live in a giant house to collect a mini. They can fit anywhere. My favorite is a boo
